Abstract :
The biggest factors affecting an aircraft?s movement during flight is the
wind. Especially on takeoff and landing phases, which those phases are the most
critical phases in flight. Seeing as aircraft very rarely travel in exactly the same
direction as the wind, this condition raises several possible risks that will occur
such as, speed high in approach, speed low in approach, tailwind at landing,
pitch low in climb, etcetera.
This analysis of airport risk on takeoff and landing phases using standard
deviation method to see the risk level on specific airport, which later will be able
to apply the appropriate mitigations for every risk level on that specific airport.
The risk calculations result using standard deviation method with the
highest result on October with 0,27. Using the risk limitation to determined risk
level, the frequency point on October is 43 resulting the risk level of SAMS
Sepinggan Balikpapan international airport on 2019 is ?Negligible?, ?Minor?,
and ?Major? with mitigations ?Monitor?, ?Monitor and evaluate?, ?Investigate
and take action?, ?Immediate avoidance action?, and ?Stop operations?.
