Abstract :
Hydraulic is one of the important components in the structure of an aircraft. The hydraulic system functions as a medium to move the systems related to other components, such as moving the landing gear, nose wheel steering, flap, inboard door and speed brake using liquid or fluid pressure hydraulic. Safety in the aircrafts hydraulic system is one of the main keys during flight. During the operation of the KT-1B Woong Bee aircraft, problems often occur with the aircraft's hydraulic system components. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the causes of hydraulic system failure on the KT-1B Woong Bee aircraft using the fault tree analysis method. To solve the above problems, the Fault Tree Analysis FTA method is used, which is a method for measuring and analyzing failures. This method focuses on analyzing a failure and providing a method for finding the cause of the failure. FTA uses a block diagram method that displays various possibilities that cause an event / failure gradually and in stages like tree branches. There are two main logic symbols used, namely Boolean logic AND-gate and OR-gate. then an evaluation is carried out with a minimum cut set. The cause of the failure of the hydraulic system on the KT-1B Woong Bee aircraft with Registration Number: LD 0106 occurred 37 times. Based on the results of the analysis using the FTA method with the failure of the hydraulic operation system as the top event, 8 intermediate events were obtained using the OR logic gate and 20 basic events that caused the failure of the hydraulic system on the KT-1B Woong Bee aircraft.
