Abstract :
Ignition system is one of the systems that play an important role in the process of combustion in the combustion chamber on the aircraft engine. ignition needed to burn mixes air and fuel that will produce power. In operational aircraft, ignition quite often is reported get failure. Therefore, need to further analysis to find out the cause of this failure. Analysis are conducted with Fault Tree Analysis methods, where using a fault tree diagram shows factor and possibility of causing the ignition failures. In the first step in data collection replacement components of an aircraft during operational, than define of failure that happened, and model of failure that supplemented failure. The last step that is began to formulate diagram FTA and evaluate with minimal cutset. From the data analysis maintenance of an aircraft at 2013 up to 2017, igniton often find worn out while through FTA and was conducted evaluation process by using the minimal cutset method obtain 12 risk factor which contribute cause the failure on ignition.
