Abstract :
Hub is a structure used to connect blades and shafts. The hub structure
must be able to withstand wind loads as well as loads during operation. While the
hub selection process is based on the ease of manufacture and installation of blades
with hubs. The purpose of this Final Assignment is to create 3 designs of hub and
nacelle based on ease in the process of manufacture and installation and choose the
right design based on the criteria of ease in the process of manufacture and
installation.
In this study, hubs and nacelle were modeled and analyzed using CATIA
V5R20 software. Hub voltage analysis aims to determine the value of stress and
weight generated from the three models of hubs that have been made to compare. The
types of hubs proposed are lapjoint models, closed and open models. In addition to
analyzed, hub selection process is done by comparing the three hub models based on
the ease of manufacture and installation process.
The analysis results show that the hub type in the lapjoint system matches
the desired design criteria. While the maximum voltage value of the analysis results
show 1.08e + 005 N / m2 and MS value of 23147.14815 so that the structure is safe.
