Abstract :
The Hydraulic System is one of the supporting systems that works on an aircraft, where this system is one of the systems that has a major influence on meeting the airworthiness requirements of an aircraft. Therefore, maintenance of this system is needed to maintain the function of the system. One type of maintenance that can be done is Reliability Centered Maintenance. The goal is to determine the consequences of failure of the KT-1B aircraft Hydraulic System, determine the risk level of failure of the KT-1B aircraft Hydraulic System and provide recommendations for preventive maintenance recommended for maintaining the KT-1B aircraft Hydraulic System. By answering the seven basic RCM questions which are the process for planning Hydraulic System maintenance with the RCM method, you can determine the function of the system and functional failures, the Failure Mode and Effects Criticality Analysis table, consequences of failure, recommended preventive maintenance recommendations, Risk Priority Number values, risk level of failure of the KT-1B aircraft Hydraulic System components. From the analysis conducted using the RCM method, the
appropriate failure consequences for the entire Hydraulic System component
are hidden failure consequences and operational consequences, because
the many failures that occur do not have specific evidence directly to show which part is problematic but only
indicate functional failure. The level of risk of failure of each hydraulic system component can be categorized as high risk, because
the hydraulic system is one of the important systems of the KT-1B aircraft
and if the component fails it will result in safety and operational disruptions, a decrease in performance caused by functional failure and resulting in quite high repair costs. The recommended preventive maintenance recommendations for maintaining hydraulic system components are condition directed, failure finding and time directed
