Abstract :
Wind tunnel (wind tunnel) is a tool to help the process of
analyzing the influence of air flow around solid objects. The test
section is one part of the wind tunnel that serves to place the test
object. airfoil, ball and half ball. The test object in the form of an
airfoil is manufactured using three methods, namely: 3D printing,
laser cutting, and manual. Where, in each method using different
materials. The 3D printing method uses pla material, the laser
cutting method uses balsa wood material, the manual method uses
polyfoam material. Then an analysis was carried out on the airfoil
specimen using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, the
results of the analysis obtained the final ranking with a value of 0.89
obtained from the Hot Wire manufacturing method. In addition, the
airfoil test object was tested to see the difference between the lab test
lift results and the lift results on the ansys software, it can be seen
that the highest lift is a small airfoil measuring 10cm with the laser
cutting method with a comparison percentage of 0.9848.
