Abstract :
Engine is one of the most important components in the helicopter. Therefore, Engine components must remain Airworthy that is safe to use. So it is necessary to carry out checking activities, namely EPC Engine Power Check. At the time of checking, the author found Damage where the engine experienced a Loss Power . In this study the author will analyze the cause of the Power Loss on the Helicopter Engine and the solution if the cause is known This research was conducted with the method of collecting data obtained from checking using a tool, namely VEMD. Based on the data from the VEMD, a calculation is carried out based on the guidelines from the AMM document using manual and automatic calculations, then the result is a negative value where the Engine is damaged. For the results, it was found the cause of the Power Loss on the AS565 MBE Phanter Turboshaft Engine, namely Folding on the Axial Compressor Blade. The solution is to measure the length to the width of the Folding where the damage will be maintained according to the AMM procedure.
