Abstract :
Aircraft maintenance is something that must be done on all aircraft
systems, maintenance must be carried out because each component has a certain
reliability and age limit. The purpose of this final project is to determine the
appropriate preventive maintenance on the Canopy and MDC (Miniature
Detonating Cord) KT-1B aircraft. To determine the right solution, the Reliability
Centered Maintenance (RCM) method is used as a maintenance management
strategy. The maintenance strategy aims to maintain the asset's function in the
context of its operation.
The method used is the Reliability Centered Maintenance method with
Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Logic Tree Analysis(LTA) and Risk
Periority Number (RPN) analysis. The first step is to identify the failure in each
component. Each failure mode and the effects of failure that occur in each
component are described in the FMEA table. After that, the Risk Periority
Number analysis was carried out by looking at the Severity, occurrence and
Detection levels of each component. The final step is to determine the appropriate
maintenance recommendations for failures that occur in each component.
The conclusions obtained are: (1) The identification carried out is the
Canopy and MDC components. (2) Based on the level of failure risk, 3
components have a moderate level of failure risk. (3) by looking at the RPN value,
it is concluded that the three components have a moderate level of failure risk.
(4)Recommendations for appropriate preventive maintenance are Time Directed
Maintenance and Failure Finding.
