Abstract :
Aerial photography is an indispensable job for companies which own
lands such as mining, plantations, etc. UAV aircraft is a solution to assist in
aerial photography work. Flying wing type UAV is one type of aircraft used for
aerial photography. The purpose of this research is to produce design, geometry,
aerodynamic characteristics and aircraft maintenance manual of UAV flying wing
GO-DRONE STTA.
In the process of this research, the method used for the design process is
the analytical process of Raymer and Roskam. The method in the design process
begins with determining the DRO, determining the weight, wing span, wing
geometry. The result of the geometry that has been determined is drawn in 3
dimensional form using CATIA software. 3-dimensional image results are then
analyzed to determine the aerodynamic characteristics of UAV aircraft using
ANSYS software
The results showed that the UAV aircraft obtained coefficient of lift force
of 0.305 at the moment of attack angle 00. The value of the maximum lift
coefficient of 1.028 at the time of the attack angle 150. The value of the drag
coefficient at the attack angle 00 of 0.042. The maximum drag coefficient value is
0.604 when the attack angle is 300. The guided result is divided into pre flight
inspection and after flight inspection and damage after manufacturing process.
