Abstract :
As the time goes by the aviation industry has increased rapidly. Including the
aviation industry in Indonesia itself. According to data released by the Directorate
General of Civil Aviation, the domestic passengers movement in 2017 increased by
9.6% than in 2016. One of the airports that passenger?s movement increased every
year is Djalaluddin Airport, which is located in Gorontalo Province. In 2016
Djalaluddin airport opened a new terminal along with a new apron located in the
west, with two additions apron equipment aviobridges. Therefore, it is necessary to
research to find out whether with the improvement of infrastructure at Djalaluddin
airport, it can properly serve the increasing demand for air transportation every
year.
This research is done to find out the aircraft movements at peak hour, apron
capacity, and the parking stand necessity in existing condition (2019) and in the 5
planning year (2024). The analysis is done by reflecting the aircraft movement
historical data in 2010-2019 until the number of movements that happens in the
planning year is obtained by forecasting method. Peak hour ration in 2024 is
obtained by referring to the calculation of JICA (Japan International Cooperation
Agency) which then be used to know the aircraft movements that happen in that
planning year by multiplying peak hour factor and the annual aircraft movements.
The result then being compared with the existing apron capacity and being
analysed whether in the planning year the apron in Djalaluddin airport can still
accommodate the number of aircraft or not.
The results of the analysis show that in 2024 the apron in Djalaluddin
Gorontalo Airport can still accommodate 4 of A320-200 aircrafts at peak hours
according to the requirements set by ICAO, JICA and KP 39 of 2015.
