Abstract :
The Cargo-X UAV is one of the UAVs designed without using Landing
Gear, so it requires a Cargo-X launcher with a minimum launch speed of 15 m/s
which is driven using pneumatic power stored in a pressurized cylinder. This
study aims to determine the modified form, the strength of the pressurized cylinder
structure, and calculate the velocity and distance from the Cargo-X UAV launcher
using the Dummy Cargo-X..
To find out, it is necessary to study the object of research and collect
material data needed to carry out structural strength analysis and design a
modified pressurized cylinder that can be used by the Cargo-X UAV launcher and
testing using Dummy Cargo-X.
The results obtained from this study are that the pressurized tube can be
used for Cargo-X launcher with a maximum pressure of 2.5 MPa. And testing
Dummy Cargo-X using a Cargo-X launcher with velocity of launch is 20,782 m/s
and 22,761 m/s with ejection distance of 2.65 m and 2.94 m at a pressure of
486590.482 Pa or 70.574 psi on a pressurized tube
