Abstract :
This study aimed to identify the effect of stirring speed on the mechanical
and morphological of particulate powder of rice husk burning results using
variation of stirring speed at 660 rpm, 885 rpm and 1020 rpm. The material used
in this research was particles of rice husk burning with the matrix as Epoxy Resin
Bakelite EPR 174 and Epoxy Hardener V-140 and the method used in composite
making process was hand lay up.
The result of composite the tensile test showed the lowest strength was at
665 rpm with the value of 36,544 MPa and at 1020 rpm rotation variation had the
highest tensile strength equal to 39,064 MPa. For the impact test, the lowest
absorption energy was found on the 660 rpm stirring variation of 0.85 Joules and
the 885 rpm stirring variation generated the largest absorption energy of 14,992
Joules. The results of particle composite morphological testing with a variation of
885 rpm rotation indicated a fracture breakdown that occurred due to the
equitable distribution of the particles.
