Abstract :
Centrifugal pumps are one type of non-positive displacement pump. The working principle is to convert the kinetic energy (velocity) of the liquid into potential energy (dynamic) through an impeller that rotates in the casing into a dynamic pressure pump. The maintenance system on centrifugal pumps is divided into 3 types, namely; corrective maintenance, predictive maintenance, preventive maintenance. Failure or damage found in preventive maintenance of the Ebara 150x125 Fs4LA centrifugal pump is during the overhaul process, the components that are damaged include the shaft sleeve, shaft, impeller, and bearing. In the breakdown process, the components that are damaged are the motor body temperature overheat, the bearing housing cover is loose and the water pot bearing housing is submerged in water. The purpose of maintenance with the corrective maintenance method is to repair and replace components that are damaged directly. For example, the shaft sleeve on the inboard and outboard sides of the pump wears out due to being eroded by friction from the shaft. If this damage is not replaced, it will destroy other components and have a negative impact on the production process of the resulting product.
