Abstract :
Data transmission technology with radio frequency and fiber optics using
frequency modulation (FM) techniques has been known for a long time. This
technology facilitates the transmission of sound through an analog signal from
the transmitter to the receiver. The development of technology using visible light
that utilizes LED lights as senders of information is quite a lot done. In this study,
the authors aim to implement a system of sending and receiving mp3 audio sounds
by utilizing visible light from LED lights.
Light Fidelity or commonly called Li-Fi is implemented using the modulation
method and demodulation of FM frequency signals. From the test results it can be
shown that this system has signal attenuation with an average of -27,972 dB at a
maximum distance of 120 cm in a bright room. With a vertical angle of 25 ° and a
horizontal angle of 0 °. The color of the LED lights is white, so it is suitable to be
applied to every room.
