Abstract :
The development of rocket technology is currently increasing rapidly. In a rocket there
is a charge called payload. A payload is called modern and is good if the payload can be
controlled automatically or manually. Payload consists of several sensors, such as temperature
and humidity sensors, compass magnetic sensors, and akselero sensors. The sensors used in
this study are temperature and humidity sensors DHT-11 and compass magnetic sensors GY-
271. This study aims to obtain data reading temperature and direction data around the
payload.
The research method starts from identifying problems, data collection, system design,
system testing, system improvement, and analysis. After obtaining the payload design then
testing is done by processing the temperature and humidity sensor readings using DHT 11 and
compass magnetic sensors using GY-271.
After testing, it can be seen that temperature and humidity telemetry can be carried out
well when the rocket is launched or before the rocket is launched with 3s / data frame data
transmission speed. In the HMC5883L compass sensor telemetry used, there is still an error
value when making angular measurements. This error is caused by the influence of the servo
motor magnet. The resulting angle is 90% percent successful.
