Abstract :
In this study, a device digital water pass will be designed that can be used to measure the
magnitude of the transverse and longitudinal slope and the direction of the angina eye. This tool
can be used in the future as an alternative tool for planning the construction of a new runway. In
the construction of a runway, there is a slope angle used as drainage when it rains. The tool
designed using an accelerometer sensor as the main component in detecting the tilt angle and
compass sensor as a detector for the wind direction. In this digital waterpass tool uses a 16x2
LCD as the data display media that the sensor detects. Arduino Uno as a system brain that
processes data from sensors. Data that has been processed by the microcontroller will be stored
in the data logger via a micro SD. The power supply used is a 9V battery. The results of testing
the sensor in this system obtained an error value of angle X of 1,26% and the angle of Y is
1,51%, so from this it shows that the slope of the waterpass can be used as stated in the purpose
of this study.
