Abstract :
Wind is the relative motion of the earth's surface. The atmosphere's motion against the
earth's surface has two directions, namely the horizontal direction and the vertical
direction. These two atmospheric motions are caused by the imbalance of clean
radiation, humidity and momentum between low latitudes and high latitudes on one
side and between the earth's surface and the atmosphere.
Wind direction and speed is one of the weather elements needed in flight operations.
As stated in Annex 3, weather information including wind direction data and wind
speed is needed for take-off and landing.
Landing is the last part of a flight, where an airplane flies back to the runway.
Airplanes generally land on an airport above the runway. When the plane is flying,
usually when the landing speed is reduced slowly and the position where the landing
level will be reduced by the transition to a stall attitude.
JL-FS2 anemometer and Wind Vane are designed to calculate wind speed and wind
direction so that wind speed can be determined by using knots. Then Wind Vane that
can detect the direction of the wind that blows when passing through the petals or
wings of wind vane with wind direction as much as 8 points wind direction.
The results of the design and design show that the Anemometer can work well. The
design of the Anemometer can detect speeds of up to 58.31 knots, in a field the highest
speed is only up to 11.6 knots. As for wind direction detects up to 270 degrees
