Abstract :
The risk of failure in the aviation world will result in a very fatal impact
especially on the nose landing gear of an aircraft. Failure of nose landing gear on
Grob G 120 TP-A aircraft will result in fatal events such as aircraft being unable to
takeoff and landing. Therefore, to determine the cause of failure on Grob G 120 TP-A
aircraft, the fault tree analysis method is used.
This study uses a fault tree analysis method because the method can analyze
in more detail about a failure and will be evaluated using the minimum cut set that
can identify all the causes that cause the top event.
The result of this study is that failure on the nose landing gear can occur due
to the nose wheel steering stiff, nose gear leg breakdown, nose gear does not retract
when selected, and nose gear does not extend when selected.
