Abstract :
PT. Madu Baru Madukismo Yogyakarta as one of the companies engaged in the sugar industry, there are several occupational safety and health problems. The results of the identification of hazards to occupational safety using the Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) method are as follows; it can be concluded that in the sugar production process at PT Madukismo, the average hazard potential (risk level) is light and there are still employees who have not used PPE so that work accidents occur. From the results of data processing using SPSS software from 7 question items about accident prevention, the highest average distribution of respondents' answers is located in item (Y5) with an average of 4.21. This means that employees often ignore the use of PPE unless there is supervision from their superiors. From the results of data processing using SPSS software from 7 question items about accident prevention, the highest average distribution of respondents' answers is located in item (Y5) with an average of 4.21. This means that employees often ignore the use of PPE unless there is supervision from their superiors. Efforts to reduce and prevent work accidents specifically in the production process section are as follows; conducting education and training on occupational safety and health at least three times a year, this is intended to increase workers' knowledge and awareness of occupational safety and health.
