Abstract :
Cargo is all goods transported or to be transported by aircraft using Airwaybill / SMU but does not include post or other goods contained in the international postal convention agreement and baggage accompanied by passenger tickets or checked baggage. The very rapid growth of cargo requires PT. Angkasa Pura Logistik as the party handling cargo at El Tari Kupang airport to have a cargo warehouse according to the existing cargo volume capacity both for now and in the future. To overcome this problem in this study, the author uses a forecasting method to determine the growth in cargo volume in the future in order to determine the area of ??the cargo warehouse that must be built. Forecasting is a method for estimating a value in the future using past data. In this study, the forecasting method is used to calculate the growth in the amount of cargo volume in the coming year. The forecasting result that was chosen was Double Exponential Smoothing with Brown with ? = 0.4, which produced the smallest MAD with a MAD value of = 149. The forecasting result showed that the average cargo volume in the next 2 years was 4,310 tons. Currently, the cargo warehouse capacity is only sufficient to accommodate 2,000 tons of cargo. After the forecasting that predicted that in the future the cargo volume would reach 4,000-5,000 tons, Angkasa Pura Logistik must build a cargo warehouse with an area of ??289,474.5
