Abstract :
The environment is the entity between all living and non-living things, including the elements and benefits, all species interaction, and natural resources. Environmental problems are often found in air pollution, floods, landslides, forest fire, and so on. Trees are plants that are needed in life. It is because trees produce oxygen for living things. The regent of Sidoarjo has released regent regulation number 29 of 2018 concerning roadside tree protection This study used descriptive-qualitative research. This study located in Sidoarjo Environmental and Cleanliness (Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kebersihan). The informant was determined using purposive sampling techniques. Meanwhile, the data were collected by depth interviews with the informant also written documents. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and giving a conclusion. The study obtained that Environmental and Cleanliness as the implementation of Sidoarjo regent regulation number 29 of 2018 has maintenance of the tree. The maintenance was done by watering the trees, logging, and cutting the branch. However, many people still ruin the tree by throwing trash in the roadside, giving destroyer liquid, and putting nails on it. Lack of awareness in society causes environmental damage that can adverse themselves
