Abstract :
Some of the animated series created as a means of learning children, but with the development of technoogy animation and film industry helped expand the space for the cartoon film, both in terms of the theme of the story and picture. With the popularity of cartoons, some of them are carries the elements of bullying as part of the story. In this case, the existence of parents holds an important role because parents also must accompany children while watching television. Therefore, the researchers wanted to know how the reception parents of the bullying in the animated series Doraemon in RCTI. This research uses the method of reception analysis with a qualitative approach, conducted indepth interviews with six informants parents in the district of Tarik, Sidoarjo regency. In the selection of informants, researcher using purposive sampling technique. In addition, the researcher also chose two episodes as a sample object of research. The results of this research is the first audience that include in the dominant position, that is where the audience is in line with the codes that is delivered by the series of Doraemon. Second, the audience included in the negotiated position, that is in line with the codes that is delivered, but also to modify it according to their respective opinions. And the third, where the audience is included in the category of opposition, the audience is not in line or refuse with code delivered. In conclusion, some parents approve if the animated series Doraemon contains elements of bullying in each episode, the animation displays the behavior of bullying that should not be done by children because it can have a negative impact on mindset and behavior of the child. Audience as connoisseurs of impressions is able to interpret the elements of bullying based on understanding,reception, as well as the assessment of each audience. The diversity of the receipt of such parents can be categorized into three types of positions, that is dominant hegemonic position, negotiated position, and opposition position.
