ABSTRACT
This research is a research associative aimed to examine the effect of financial
knowledge on financial management behavior with love of money and gender as
moderation. The reason why this study was conducted is because of the
phenomenon that percentage of allocation of Indonesian public funds to invest in
stocks and mutual funds is still far behind from other countries, a fact that
strengthens the relationship between variables, and there are many research that
give the different results. The samples in this study are 100 respondents, who are
residents of Palembang City. The samples are determined by using the purposive
sampling method. Data analysis in this research carried out by using the classical
assumption, whereas hypothesis testing carried out by using moderation regression
analysis. The results of this study show that financial knowledge has no significant
effect on the financial management behavior, love of money does not moderate the
influence of financial knowledge on financial management behavior and gender
moderate the influence of financial knowledge on financial management behavior.
