Abstract :
Background: Immune formation in imperfect children results in low body
resistance to pathogenic microorganisms. ISPA is an infectious disease that
attacks the respiratory tract and the lower respiratory tract. In addition, the
spread of viruses or isp bacteria in children can occur very quickly because
many children interact closely and make contact with other children,
resulting in nearly 4 million people dying from ISPA each year. One possible
effort issimple inhalation therapy. Simple inhalation is the feeding of steam
therapy inhaled through the respiratory tract with white wood oil. The oil
content of white wood is useful as an inflammation and serves as an
expectorant, mucolytic and decongestant.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of
administering steam inhalation therapy with white wood oil to improve child
airway hygiene with ISPA.
Method: Case study design is descriptive, with preschool respondents with
ISPA. Research instruments used by thermometers, stethoscopes
Results: The results of administering simple inhalation therapy with white
wood oil showed an increase in airway cleanliness between before and after
administering inhalation therapy for 3 days at a frequency of 2 a day in the
morning and afternoon for 10 minutes.
Conclusion: Simple inhalation therapy with white wood oil can improve
airway hygiene in children.
Suggestion: The health care provider and community management can
work together to educate the public regarding the implementation of simple
inhalation therapy at home.
