Abstract :
Background: Hypertension is a condition in which blood pressure is above
normal values. Hypertension is also known as high blood pressure, a person's
blood pressure is normally equal to or less than 120/80 mmHg. The mortality rate
due to hypertension is increasing so that blood pressure control is carried out to
reduce the possibility of complications in hypertension sufferers. The management
of hypertension consists of pharmacological treatment, activity, regulating diet,
sleep patterns, modifying lifestyle, reducing salt intake, and non-pharmacological
treatments such as warm water foot soak therapy.
Objective : To determine changes in blood pressure before and after warm water
foot soak therapy in hypertensive patients.
Methods: This case study used a descriptive method with a nursing process
approach which was carried out on 2 patients using the One Group Pretest
Posttest research design to determine whether there was an effect of warm water
foot soak therapy on reducing blood pressure in people with hypertension in the
community.

sleep patterns to keep their blood pressure from increasing.
