Abstract :
Numeracy literacy in Indonesia is in the low category and this is clearly illustrated from the PISA results that showed the numeracy ability of students in Indonesia is still weak. This study aimed to find out whether or not there was a comparison of numeracy literacy abilities of grade IV students in private and public elementary schools on cognitive learning outcomes. This research was a quantitative research using pure experiment method. In this study, the sampling technique was simple random sampling with design type posttest only control group design. The samples were each one private elementary schools and one public elementary schools. The research data collection techniques were carried out in the forms of interview, documentation, and test. The data analysis techniques used in this study were in the forms of question validity tests, question reliability tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-test tests. The results of this study showed that there was a comparison of numeracy literacy skills of private elementary schools and public elementary schools on the cognitive learning outcomes of grade IV students. This can be shown through the results of the independent sample t-test, that the significance value obtained is 0.000 which is less than 0.05 which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The implication in education field was that students who have good numeracy literacy competency can improve learning outcomes. Keywords : Numeracy Literacy, Accreditation, Learning Outcomes
