Abstract :
Background: Erythrocyte count examination is an examination used to confirm a suspected clinical disease. Blood samples that enter the tube containing anticoagulant must be immediately homogenized to avoid clots. Delaying the examination will cause the blood sample to settle, so the blood sample must be subjected to secondary homogenization before the blood is examined so that the blood is normally distributed. Primary homogenization is done 10 times, while there is no standard for secondary homogenization. Objective: Knowing the results of the examination of the number of erythrocytes Homogenized secondary inversion (back and forth) twice and 8 times after standing for 30 minutes. Method: This type of research is obsevational analytic with cross sectional and with total sampling technique. The samples obtained were homogenized primary 10 times, then allowed to stand for 30 minutes, after which the samples were homogenized secondary 2 times and 8 times and examined using the sysmex xp-100 tool, the data were analyzed using the paired t test. Result: Examination of the number of erythrocytes Secondary homogenized 2 times obtained a mean of 4,54 x106/?l, and SD 0,46 while secondary homogenized 8 times obtained a mean of 4,55 x106/?l and SD 0,47. The result of the paires t test data analysis obtained the result of 0,106. Conclusion: Based on this study, it can be concluded that the results of the secondary homogenized examination 2 times and 8 times there is no difference.
