Abstract :
The world of technology and science at this time is growing rapidly, resulting in many changes that occur in human life. One of them is the development of technology. Increasingly the development of technology resulting in information stored on the internet increasingly widespread, which resulted in the presence of search engines (search engines) is very useful at all to get the information you want sought. Unfortunately, not all information can be searched in the search engine, such as specific information, that specific information can be academic scope information. To solve the problem it will be made an application Natural language processing Question answering system is a system that allows computers to understand the intentions of questions posed by users by using natural language and respond to existing questions. This application is created using PHP programming language, and MySQL database. The preprocessing techniques used are tokenization, part-of-speech tagging, and named entity recogination. The results obtained after testing to see how the percentage of the system will answer questions that will be submitted by the user is 67.68%.
