Abstract :
Actually the government has made the regulations in solving the problem of street children, but the regulation is not considered sufficient to address the problem of street children who are increasingly numerous in Palembang. Social facilities such as shelters or social homes for children with social welfare issues are still inadequate in Palembang. Therefore, the lack of facilities for the street children stopover halfway house design can be one solution to provide a haven and also accommodate street children which aims to reduce the number of street children in the streets but not deadly right of the child to work. The shelter complex is planned in the design of post-modern architectural style that is different from the other socialist facilities in Palembang. In this case both the design of the building and the park will use the theme of Nature, Independent, Care and Education (NICE). The Street Children's Shelter Complex has full facilities to support efforts to protect, shelter, training and informal education for street children.
