Abstract :
Art Museum of South Sumatra is a place that holds artistic diversity that exist in South Sumatra. This art museum is planned and designed for the place, pengapresiasian, and local media to learn about art and art in general areas in South Sumatra. The museum was designed and attractively packaged with the use of digital visual technology and the comfort of visitors. Art Museum of South Sumatra entitled "Earth Art Image Sriwijaya" built with decontruction concept while maintaining the feel of a traditional local art South Sumatra. The main reference of the deconstruction concept is absolute absence of a work of architecture, each designer or architect has full rihts to the design. Site location selected for the planning and design of this museum is the former Textile Museum, Kambang Iwak, Bukit Kecil Palembang. This location was chosen because Kambang Iwak is one of local tourist destinations in Palembang. Kambang Iwak have advantages in infrastructure, public facilities, transportation, and flood-free.
