Abstract :
Palembang which is the capital of South Sumatra province in recent years has experienced a very rapid physical development and has become the second most advanced in Sumatra after Medan. Palembang has a train station only, ie Kertapati Station. From this flow of passengers into and out of South Sumatra Province and spread to smaller cities such as, Lahat, Lubuk Linggau and so on. According to data from the Indonesian Railways PT and PT. KAI Commuter Jabodetabek trains especially on the island of Sumatra is quite attractive, it can be seen from the number of passengers has increased significantly. In terms of the number of passengers on average each year reaching millions of passengers and total passenger can be seen also in the year 2011 reached 5,296,000 passengers. If viewed from the problems existing in the train station Kertapati now, it is necessary to design and planning proper circulation and facilities and supporting elements sufficient for the comfort of the passengers at the Railway Station Kertapati Palembang and should be able to be the center of the train station in Sumatra south.
