Abstract :
ESOP is a program that allows the participation of employees or management to own shares of the company where they work. This research was conducted to determine whether there were differences in financial performance and company value before and after the application of the ESOP for 2012-2017. The population in this study were 24 companies. This research is an event study which compares 2 years before and 2 years after the application of ESOP. The data analysis used in this study is descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon Test with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that there were no significant differences in financial performance before and after the application of ESOP. The results of this study also showed that there were no significant differences in company values before and after the application of ESOP.
