ABSTRACT
This study aims to produce the writing of Flood topic students based on writing
structure, language, and writing techniques of fifth grade students of SD Xaverius 1
Palembang. This type of research uses a mix method that combines qualitative and
quantitative approaches. The population in this study amounted to 110 students. The
sample of this study was 40 students. The data collection techniques is a test in the
form of writing about Floods. In the data analysis techniques, the results of students
writing were reviewed by researchers and one validatorusing triangulation
validation. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that for the
assessment of the structure of the writings scored 29.15 ? 58.35 as many as 14
students and those who scored 62.5 ? 100 as many as 26 students. Language
assessment get a score of 0 as many as 25 students, a value of 0.5 as many as 11
students, and who get a value of 1 as many as 4 students. Evaluation of students?
writing refers to writing techniques, the writing techniques used by researchers is
capital letters and punctuations end sentences. Rating of capital letters can be 25 ?
58.35 as many as 13 students and those with a value of 66.65-100 as many as 27
students and for the final punctuation marks that get a value of 16.7-58.35 as many
as 13 students and those who get grades 66.65 ? 100 as many as 27 students.
