Abstract :
XYZ store is one of the stores engaged in the field of glassware (houseware) that sells equipment and household needs in Palembang. Products sold include glasses, plates, bowls, and others. In this shop, problems were found regarding product classification, which were not able to classify the best-selling and under-selling products. To overcome these problems, an application was made to classify the best-selling products using the C4.5 algorithm. This application development uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology which is implemented in the PHP programming language using MySQL as the database. The attributes used are the type of equipment, minimum quantity, quantity, and price. The data used is sales data in the first quarter of 2022. Based on the test results using 437 data, the accuracy value is 91.53%, the precision value is 27.77%, and the recall value is 17.24%. This shows that the system has good performance and the C4.5 algorithm can be applied to the case of determining the best-selling product classification at the XYZ Palembang store.
