Abstract :
UMKM Foni Cake is a home industry that sells pastels as its main product. In the production process still contains quite a lot of repetitive movements. To reduce repetitive movements, designed a new pastel leather cutting tool with the aim of reducing repetitive movements, creating ergonomic work tools and reducing production process time. As for designing the new pastel leather cutting tool, uses the NIDA (Need, Idea, Decision, Action) method. The NIDA method is a simple method for designing a product. Anthropometric data is needed to create an ergonomic cutting tool and analysis of the left and right hand maps to analyze the movements performed and calculate the standard time to find out how much time can be saved. Based on the results of the research, the new cutting tool has a height of 18.1 cm, a width of 72 cm and a diameter of 3.6 cm for the handle of the tool and has 3 blades. The movement that originally had 28 left and right hand movements became 8 left and right movements and the time of the pastel skin cutting process became 13.8 seconds faster.
