Abstract :
The development of today's mobile applications technology is growing rapidly. With this technology, we can find any information easily. Surya Mas Iron stores find it difficult to expand the distribution networks in disseminating information and ordering building materials. To overcome these problems, required application information and reservation services via the mobile phone of building materials based on java. Application information and booking service was developed using the Java language, namely Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME), which is an object-oriented programming language. With the J2ME platform, allows developers to create applications that can be multi-platform, so it can be implemented in various brands of cell phones that support Java applications. In developing the system, identified system requirements using RUP (Rational Unified Process), which consists of several phases: inception, elaboration, and Construction. Then, the software is designed using UML (Unified Modeling Language). Results from the research acquired an information and booking service applications that enable customers to place an order building materials, access the catalog information, contact information, payment information, ordering information, information about, information guide, and can provide advice and criticism. With this application, information and reservation services, can improve the ordering process of building materials and help expand the distribution network.
