Abstract :
ABSTRACT This study aimed to analyze the effect of the imposition of VAT on the purchasing power of cunsumers. The population is consumer electronics goods that are in the area of Palembang City and use purposive sampling method to determine the study sample. Samples are tested in several consumer electronics stores are located in the territory of Palembang City with questionnaire distribution. Hypothesis testing uses a simple linear regression analysis method with the help of the SPSS ver program. 26.0.based on theresultof hypothesis testing and data analysis, theresult showed that a negative significant variable VAT on consumer purchasing power.
