Abstract :
Background: Puberty is a transitional state that includes all the physiological,
morphological, and behavioral changes that occur in individuals from infertile to
fertile (adult). Adolescent knowledge is very important about puberty because of
the physical and biological changes that cause stress, as well as changing
demands from the environment, so a process of adjustment is needed from
adolescents.
Objective: To know the description of adolescent knowledge about puberty
Methods: This type of research is quantitative. This research design is descriptive
with a total sampling technique and the sample used is 37 respondents with a
frequency distribution.
Results: The results of the characteristic study showed that the age of the
respondents obtained a median value of 14 years old, the youngest age was 12
years old and the old age was 16 years old. On the results of knowledge in the
category of Knowledge Enough more, namely 16 respondents (40.0%), with Good
Knowledge as many as 15 respondents (43.2%), Knowledge Less as many as 6
respondents (16.2%).
Suggestion: Respondents are expected to be able to find information on the
internet, websites, BKBBN and Kemkes to find out pubertal knowledge.
