Methods: This study is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional where this study compares the results of blood glucose levels by fasting for 3 hours and fasting for 8 hours. Results: The average measurement of fasting glucose levels for 3 hours and fasting for 8 hours, respectively, was 85.45 mg/dl and 84.64 mg/dl, which were obtained from 38 research samples. Conclusion: Based on statistical tests, there was no significant difference in the results of the examination of fasting blood glucose levels for 3 hours and 8 hours with a value of (Sig. 2 tailed) 0.713 > 0.05, but descriptively there was a difference. Suggestion: Conduct research with more and proportional time variations (1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours, 5 hours) so that it can be seen more clearly the process of decline, as well as using samples with a larger population and the method used in the examination. glucose to establish the diagnosis by the GOD-PAP method.
