VIVIAN, The Effect of Leverage on Investment Decisions and Growth
Opportunity As A Moderator (Guided by Mrs. Fransiska Soejono, S.E.,M.Sc.)
This study examines the effect of leverage on investment decisions and
growth opportunity as a moderator of leverage to investment decisions.
Population of this study are 412 non-financial sector companies listed on the
Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2011-2015. Samples are determined by using
purposive sampling method. The criteria of samples are: non-financial sector
companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the study period,
publish audited financial statements, and have complete financial statement data.
Samples can be used are 261 companies or 824 data that can be observed.
Data analysis uses moderated regression analysis (MRA) with SPSS. The
test results show that the first hypothesis (H1) which states that leverage has
affect investment decisions, supported. The second hypothesis (H2) which states
that growth opportunities are able to moderate the effect of leverage on
investment decisions, supported.
