Abstract :
The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between the intensity of social media use with time management skills in junior high school students. The hypothesis in this study is to see whether or not there is a relationship between the two variables in the study. The subjects in this study were students of Xaverius Maria Palembang Junior High School with a population of 366 students, a trial sample of 60 students and a research sample of 191 students. The sampling technique used proportionated stratified random sampling by taking samples from each class or strata. The method of analysis to see the correlation using the Spearman. The results showed that there was a relationship between the intensity of social media use and time management skills. The results of the correlation coefficient between the intensity of social media use and time management skills are 0.195 with a Sig. (2-taield) value of 0.007 (p < 0.05), which means that there is a relationship between the intensity of social media use and time management skills in junior high school students Keywords : intensity of use of social media, time management skills, junior high school students
