Abstract :
To meet the needs of an ever increasing electrical energy, in addition to building a large-capacity power plant, in remote areas and away from the reach of the transmission network, the necessary supply of power plants with a capacity of a small primarily exploit the potential of local energy that are renewable (renewable). One potential alternative energy sources to be developed in Indonesia is water or hydro energy sources. During the Brantas river passing through the area Bumiaji Batu only be used for agricultural irrigation. Remaining water is allowed to flow to the dam Sengguruh in Kepanjen and the dam Sutami in District Sumber Pucung, Malang regency. With the potential is there that has a water discharge of 0.25 m³ / s and high fall / head of 2.8 m, it can be used to generate electricity using water turbines. In this thesis designed and designed a turbine croosflow with water discharge of 0.25 m³ / s, while the high fall / head of 2.8 m. From the calculation results obtained outside runner diameter (D1) = 53cm, diameter of the runner (D2) = 36 cm, width runner (B) = 26.5 cm, number of blades (t) = 21 units, shaft diameter (ds) = 53 mm.
