Abstract :
This research purposed is to synthesis 4-Acetamidophenyl-4-Nitro-benzoic acid and to determine itÂ’s analgesic activity in mice. The synthesis of 4-Acetamidophenyl-4-Nitro-benzoic-acid was carried out by reacting acetaminophen with 4-Nitrobenzoyl-chloride. According to the UV,IR and 1H-NMR spectrometric analysis, it was concluded that the synthetic compound was 4-Acetamidophenyl-4-Nitro-benzoic-acid. The analgesic activity was tested using writhing test in mice The pain-inhibition percentage of 4-Acetamidophenyl-4-Nitro-benzoic-acid in the dose 25 mg/kg body-weight was 29,69 %, dose 50 mg/kg body-weight was 61,18% and dose 100 mg/kg body-weight was 82,99 %. it concluded that the 4-Acetamidophenyl-4-Nitro-benzoic-acid had analgesic activity and greater than acetaminophen.
