Abstract :
Social adaptation is very important to optimize individual life. In the law new environment of social adaptation can be an obstacle when in the process of individual less capable of doing. For that individual requires the ability to overcome for difficulties doing its adversity quotient (AQ). It has aspects that support the process of social adapation there are CO2RE (control, origin & ownership, reach, endurance) The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between adversity quotient and social adaptation to students from Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT). Sampling in this study was carried out by accidental sampling technique. The research subjects were 167 students from NTT who studied and lived temporarily in the city of Malang. The data collection method uses an adversity quotient scale and social adaptation scale that has been developed by researchers. Data analysis uses product moment correlation which shows r = 0, 783 and p = 0,000 (p < 0,05) there is a significant positive relationship between adversity quotient and social adaptation in students from NTT. With a large contribution of 61,3% adversity quotient to social adaptation.
