Abstract :
Career maturity is a condition when someone understands and tries to fulfill the tasks according to the stages of development without forgetting their their daily lives. The tasks of junior high school adolescents is to preparing the future by choosing advanced study options according to talents, interests, and abilities. However, not all this adolescents have a clear view of the future so they tend to be unwise in choosing further studies where this can have a negative impact on their future. The purpose of this study is to improve career maturity with career planning training based on five stages of decision making CASVE Cycle (Communicating, Analyzing, Synthesis, Valuing, Exception). The research method used was quasi-experimental with the design of one-group pretest-posttest group with a subject of ten junior high school students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling based on the results of screening using instrument career maturity scale of Rahma & Rahayu (2018) which was modified from the Career Development Inventory (CDI). Analysis of the study using the Wilcoxon test shows the value of sig. = 0.0025<0.05, then there is a difference between the results of the pre-test and post-test. With this, career planning training is able to improve the career maturity of junior high school students.
