Abstract :
In the treatment of vaname shrimp larvae, the quality of water as a
maintenance medium must be of good quality, in other words, the condition of the
pond is in certain conditions. Parameters to determine water quality in the
maintenance of vaname shrimp larvae are pH, silinity, temperature and turbidity.
The main factor that causes crop failure in the cultivation of vaname shrimp larvae
is uncontrolled water quality as a medium of maintenance. Until now, vaname
shrimp larvae farmers still use manual methods to monitor and regulate water
quality in the cultivation of vaname shrimp larvae. The manual method is
considered to be very troublesome and inefficient because the farmer must go to the
field at any time to monitor and regulate water quality. This study aims to help
monitor and regulate the quality of water in vaname larvae. This tool is designed
using an IoT based WSN system by utilizing the Arduino Mega microcontroller and
NodeMCU8266. The results of sensor readings from monitoring have a different
average error, the pH sensor has an error rate of 0.0066%, a sensor temperature
of 0.3070%, a salinity sensor of 1.0%, the turbidity sensor at the highest turbidity
level is 98.78 NTU obtained voltage 2.93 V. The automation system is able to
control water parameters with the ON and OFF system on the DC, fan and heater
pumps according to the range specified through the android application.
