Abstract :
Currently the use of the PID controller is currently used as a learning media for electrical students to understand the work process of the PID control system. but in reality there are many students who still do not understand the material of the PID control system, therefore, a system control module is needed on a DC motor using a PID controller In this study a DC motor position control system has been designed using the PID controller, where PID is used to find a stable system response with a low steady state error. The way to do that is to give each of the PID parameter values, namely the values of kp, Kd, and Ki. The tuning method used is the hand tuning method. In its manufacture, Arduino mega 2560, potentiometer, L298N DC motor driver and DC motor are used. The results of the test found that the best PID control parameter value with a proportional controller (Kp) value of 6, Derivative Controller constant (Kd) of 6 and Integrative Controller constant (Ki) of 1 with steady state error average of 1.4 degrees
