Abstract :
Along with the increasing population of Indonesia, the burden of the power system will also increase. At the load of the electric power system there are changes due to usage factors. This causes the system to become more complex and vulnerable to interference. In addition, there are electrical power system parameters, namely the transmission line impedance, the magnitude of the voltage and the phase angle. Solution to the problem can be corrected by installing a Static Var compensator (SVC). The analysis was carried out using the optimization method of ABC and ACO. The method is applied to the IEEE 9 Bus System, assuming 100% loading. The results of the power flow using the Gauss Siedel method show that the total power loss is 0.3470 p.u. While the total power loss on the IEEE 9 Bus System becomes 0.1035 p.u using the optimization method of ABC and ACO.
