Abstract :
One of the most disturbing community problems even harms many parties, which is to date namely rat or rodent pests. There are several methods to control this rat pest, one of which is by using a mouse trap. But with the current mousetrap system, it is still not efficient. While the number of rodent pests that attack quite a lot. While the current mousetrap system can only catch mice with a small amount. So it is necessary to develop so that the mousetrap device that is made can work efficiently. In this study a prototype mousetrap with a microcontroller-based PIR sensor using a solar panel power source was made. With the system from the design of the tools made, it is expected to be an efficient mousetrap, because it can accommodate a large number of mice. But in the research process, the tools for which this plan was made cannot be resolved because there are several components that cannot be obtained. So the suggestion for further development is to be able to use easily available components.
