Abstract :
Task commitment is considered an important factor in the learning process for the students. It surely requires self-awareness to develop individual ability. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of self-awareness towards task commitment among Vocational High School student. This study employed a correlational. Analysis use regression design. The subject involved were 369 student using quota sampling. The data were collected by means of a Task Commitment Questionnaire (TCQ) and Self-Awareness Outcomes Questionnaire (SAOQ). Then , the data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The result of the study showed that there is a significant influence of self-awareness toward task commitment among Vocational High School student. The value of regression coefficient (r) is 0,44 with p = 0.00 < 0.05. The result indicated that the higher self-awarenes, the greater task commitment of Vocational High School students.
